Meet Caden Carroll, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound pitcher/infielder from Cartersville High School who has signed to play at Kennesaw State. Carroll is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2023 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I speak positive affirmations to myself during games to make sure that I remain confident and keep a neutral mindset whether things are going well or not.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves – I have watched them my whole life and have always been a big fan.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Pizza -- I can’t eat it as much as I want, but that’s my favorite food.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?

A: I love 80s rock music. Motley Crue is my favorite band.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: Coach Mike Candela is my favorite teacher. He taught me history last year. His class was very interesting, and he loves to talk about sports.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: I like to play basketball and shoot pool. And I’m learning to play the guitar.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Italy – My grandfather’s family immigrated to the US from Italy (distant relatives are still there), so I am interested in that history. And I think it would be a really nice place to visit.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Walker Buehler – he’s my favorite pitcher and one of the best in the game.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: Todd Seigler – he’s my personal trainer and mental health coach. I would not be where I am today without his help/guidance with my training, recruiting and mental health coaching

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I plan to be a college or professional pitching coach and music producer on the side.
