Q&A with Deerfield-Windsor’s Davis Coleman

Meet Davis Coleman, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound infielder from Deerfield-Windsor School who is uncommitted. Coleman is a member of the Georgia Independent Athletic Association Big 10 cover for the 2023 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I'm not superstitious. I try to keep a level head during the game and superstitious rituals might make it difficult to adapt to unexpected situations.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Chicken wings.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you? 

A: I like to read books in my spare time.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite subject is history. My favorite teacher each year is whoever my history teacher is because I find that class most interesting. 

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby? 

A: Listening to music and discussing my favorite musical artists.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Ireland because the landscape looks beautiful and the people there seem happy.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most.

A: Clint Eastwood because he is the master of being cool.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My grandfather because he has taught me the most about life in general.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I's like to be an entrepreneur and own my own business.
