Q&A with Pinewood Christian’s Jax Lewis

Meet Jax Lewis, a 6-foot-1, 155-pound pitcher/infielder from Pinewood Christian School who has signed with TCU. Lewis is a member of the Georgia Independent Athletic Association (GIAA) Big 10 cover for the 2023 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: After finishing my warm up pitches, I draw a cross on the mound behind the rubber.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Wings or chicken alfredo.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you.

A: I'm pretty good at miniature golf.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: Dr. Tom Sollosi, U.S. history.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Playing miniature golf.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why/

A: The Dominican Republic, to see the beaches and they have great baseball. 

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most and why?

A: Max Scherzer - to pick his brains about pitching and his mindset on the mound.

Q: Who has been the influential person is your life and why?

A: My dad, he taught me everything I know about baseball and uses it to teach me about life.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: Criminology.
