Q&A with Robert Toombs Christian’s Dawson Pinckard

Meet Dawson Pinckard, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound first-baseman/outfielder from Robert Toombs Christian School who is uncommitted. Pinckard is a member of the Georgia Independent School Association (GIAA) Big 10 cover for the 2023 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: I never step on the foul lines during warm-ups.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Japanese food and sushi.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you.

A: When I was a baby, I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and told I would never walk.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: Mrs. Kimmons, biology 2.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Bass fishing.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: I would love to go to Bora Bora.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most and why?

A: Mike Trout. He is a great guy and will arguably go down as one of the best baseball players ever.

Q: Who has been the influential person is your life and why?

A: My G-daddy has been the most influential as he always encourages me to do my best.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I would like to be a real estate and probate lawyer.
