Meet Cale Stricklin, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound catcher/infielder/pitcher from North Oconee High School who has signed with Georgia. Stricklin is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2023 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: Not stepping on the foul lines in between innings.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Cheeseburger and steak.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you.

A: I love playing ping pong when I’m not playing baseball.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: Mrs. Moon and she was my English teacher my junior year.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Watching sports and playing basketball.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: Australia because I would want to experience the coral reefs and the ocean.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most and why?

A: Mike Trout because he’s the best player in the game.

Q: Who has been the influential person is your life and why?

A: My dad because he shaped me as a person and a baseball player.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I’d like to pursue coaching in baseball or being associated with a professional
baseball team in the front office.
