LAWRENCEVILLE -- Nick Stinson's RBI tied the game, then Jackson Uggla gave North Cobb Christian the lead for food with a two-run double.

The way Asher Sabom was pitching, that was all North Cobb Christian needed.

But they added eight more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as they run-ruled Mount Paran Christian 11-1 in Game 3 of the best-of-three Class 2A state championship series Monday night at Coolray Field. It was the first state baseball championship for North Cobb Christian.

Mount Paran Christian (31-6) was playing in its second state championship series in three seasons. The 2021 Class 1A Private state champions took the early lead on a solo homer in the fourth before North Cobb Christian (34-7) scored three in its half of the fourth, then eight more in the fifth to turn the game into a rout.

Cooper Williams and Brock Parker finished with two hits each to lead North Cobb Christian at the plate.

Mount Paran Christian finished with only three hits in the game.
