Meet Josh Gibbs, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound shortstop/pitcher from Forsyth Central High School. Gibbs is a member of the Metro Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals do you have?
A: I have no in game rituals or superstitions at this time.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: I am a night owl.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A: If not playing, then relaxing and working out.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: 8 through 10 years old, I used to do Cross Fit with adults and high schools, one of which is now a wide receiver in the NFL.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite teacher was Mr. Kistler and my favorite high school subject is marketing.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: Working out.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: I wear #22 because it was my dad’s number.
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: The challenges you have to face and the competitiveness.

A: No
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: I would like to be a sports marketer.
