Meet Will Huggins, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound shortstop/pitcher from Bowdon High School. Huggins is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals do you have?
A: I’m not a very superstitious person. However, I do have some good routines, especially when I’m getting ready to hit.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: Definitely more of a night owl.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A: My best way of spending a weekend is definitely baseball, fishing and golf with the boys.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: I love listening to music.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Mckinzey, but my favorite subject is definitely Math.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: Outside of baseball I enjoy fishing the most, but I love to golf with my friends as well.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: I wear number 4. I chose to wear that number because I always wore number 44 which was my dad’s number, but I decided I needed to be my own person and player, so I dropped a 4.
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: I enjoy competing as well as the constant grind it takes to be successful. I’m also super thankful for all the friendships I have made from this game.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them.
A: I have a dog named Katie Mae. She is a boxer pit mix, 12 years old, and she is the chillest dog ever.
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: After baseball, I plan on doing something in the business field. Possibly more on the finance side.
