Meet Wilson Moore, a 6-foot-0, 190-pound pitcher/third-baseman from Gatewood School. Moore is a member of the GIAA Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals do you have?
A: If there is ever two strikes, two balls and two outs, then I touch the side of my hat three times.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: Night Owl.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A: I love to be at the baseball field or at the pool.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: I enjoy writing and history.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite teacher is Coach Van Dusen, and he teaches my favorite subject which is history.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: I enjoy going to the pool with friends and working out.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: I wear number 10 because Chipper Jones is my favorite player.
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: My favorite thing about baseball is there are so many different styles of training and playing.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them.
A: I have a miniature dachshund named Chipper that is almost a year old.
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: I don’t know exactly what I want to do, but I do know I want to stay in the world of sports in some way.
