Meet Dax Kilby, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound infielder from Newnan High School. Kilby is a member of the Metro Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals do you have?

A: I wear a headband every game.

Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?

A: Morning person.

Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?

A:  Wake up and eat a large breakfast, go hit and work out, then hang out with my girlfriend.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?

A: I have flown an airplane.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is Mr. Weidert.  My favorite subject is AP European History.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Pickleball.

Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?

A: #6, it’s always been my favorite number.

Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?

A: Hitting.

Q: Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them.

A: One dog and one cat. Remi is my dog, and she loves going on walks. Big Show is my cat that we found at our mountain house.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: Hopefully, I will just experience retirement after baseball and give back to the community.
