Meet Luke Nitkowski, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound pitcher/infielder/outfielder from Creekview High School. Nitkowski is a member of the Metro Atlanta Big 10 cover for the 2026 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.

Q: What in-game rituals do you have?

A: I pray before every game.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: Atlanta Braves.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Chicken.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?

A: I am a good cook.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher is my math teacher and my favorite subject is math.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Playing pickle ball with my friends.

Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?

A: No. 1, because I've always worn that number since I was a kid.

Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?

A: Pitching and hanging out with my friends and teammates.

Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?

A: My dad has been the most influential person in my life because of the great example he has set for me, and I hope to follow in his footsteps and be like him when I get older.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I hope to play professional baseball but after that, I want to get a business degree and enter a career in that field.
