
Meet Brock Rein, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound pitcher/infielder from Starr's Mill High School. Rein is a member of the Metro Atlanta Big 10 cover for the 2026 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals do you have?
A: I draw a cross before I step out to the plate, step onto the field, when I'm on the mound. It reminds me that God is always with me. And a superstition that I have is that I always have to have an energy drink when I play.
Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?
A: Atlanta Braves.
Q: What is your favorite food to eat?
A: Chicken wings.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: I help out little kids with baseball whether it is helping them field ground balls, hitting, talking with them and giving them advice to help them in the future.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite teacher is Taylor Bouma, and my favorite subject is history.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: Hunting and fishing.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: No. 3, because growing up I loved Babe Ruth.
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: The thing I like most about baseball is the journey to success. I've always been obsessed with the process of working toward success. And when you succeed is the biggest relief because you know you've worked so hard for that.
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
A: The most influential person in my life is my dad because he has taught me everything. He pushes me to be the best I can be. I have learned so many lessons from him. He is always supporting me and always offering to help me become the best athlete I can be.
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: After baseball I plan to being a coach either coaching a baseball team or giving lessons to the athletes around me.
