Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?

A: Pray, drink a Bang energy drink and then get after it on the field of play.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Q: What is your favorite food to eat?

A: Steak and pasta.

Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you.

A: I am an introvert until I step on the football field or baseball diamond to compete.

Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?

A: My favorite teacher at Whitefield Academy is Mrs. Rebecca Brown and my favorite subject is history.

Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?

A: Football, football, football… and I like to fish.

Q: If you could travel anywhere outside the U.S., what would be your dream location and why?

A: I love traveling anywhere in the Caribbean.  Our family has taken many trips to the Caribbean, and I love the white sand beaches and clear ocean water.  There is also great fishing. My favorite spot is Turks & Caicos.

Q: Name the person you'd like to meet the most and why?

A: I would like to meet Luke Kuechly and Troy Polamalu.  I look up to them as football players and how they play the game.  Both Kuechly and Polamalu play with explosiveness on the field and never back down to an opposing offense.

Q: Who has been the influential person is your life and why?

A: Jesus first, my parents, grandparents and coach Tim Lester.  I had the opportunity to play for coach Lester on the Milton Steelers, a travel football team.  Coach Lester instilled in his players “Clear Eyes, Full Heart, Can’t Lose.”  He was a mentor of mine and someone I looked up to. He helped me stay focused on my faith reminding me that my athletic ability is a gift from God and I should always give the glory to Him. Coach Lester passed away on 1/12/21 and I will always miss him.

Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?

A: I have committed to UNC Chapel Hill to play football.
