Meet Daniel Pierce, a 6-foot-0, 185-pound shortstop from Mill Creek High School. Pierce is a member of the Metro Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals do you have?
A: I love to pray as I am about to step on the field. It is a reminder to play through him and for him.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: I am a morning person.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A: I like to spend time with my buddies or the family and go to fun activities like fishing and golfing.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: I used to race dirt bikes.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite teacher is Mrs. McPhee and my favorite subject is math.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: I love to fish and golf as they are both relaxing to me and calm my mind.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: I am 4 and there isn’t a significant reason, it was handed to me my freshman year and I stuck with it
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: I love the game, and it is always a challenge no matter what you do on the field
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them.
A: I have three dogs. two are labs named Libby and Molly. Also I have a small dog named Harley that is a pain in my rear-end. No matter how my day goes, they always make me smile when I get home.
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: I would love to be a builder with my brothers and start our own company.
