Meet Maddox Monsour, a 6-foot-0, 185-pound outfielder/infielder from Carrollton High School. Monsour is a member of the North Georgia Big 10 cover for the 2025 Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine. Here are 10 questions with him.
Q: What in-game rituals or superstitions do you have?
A: Before every game I have a boom box that I play music from in the locker room.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: Night Owl for me.
Q: What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
A: I like to spend a weekend by hanging out with friends making memories.
Q: Name one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
A: People may be surprised to learn that I love to explore.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher and what is your favorite high school subject?
A: My favorite subject in school is math. I enjoy problem-solving.
Q: Outside of baseball, what is your next hobby?
A: My other hobbies include hunting, fishing and video games.
Q: What jersey number do you wear and what reason did you choose that number?
A: #5 was a family number. My mom, dad and two sisters wore #5 as well.
Q: What do you like the most about playing baseball?
A: The lifelong friendships obtained through playing the sport.
Q: Do you have any pets? If so, talk about them.
A: I have an Australian Shepherd named Ranger. He is terrified of storms and always looks to me for comfort.
Q: After baseball, what career are you planning to pursue?
A: I plan to become a financial adviser like my father.
